The present petition has been filed under Section 528 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 for quashing of FIR No.50 dated 20.04.2021, under Sections 295 and 34 of IPC, registered at Police Station Mukerian District Hoshiarpur (Annexure P-1) along with all consequential proceedings arising therefrom on the basis of compromise dated 22.01.2026 (Annexure P-2). 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the FIR is the result of a dispute in which the religious sentiments of the complainant were hurt. It is submitted that the dispute between the parties has now been resolved and with the intervention of the respectables of the Society, the matter has indeed been compromised.
