In the present petition, the challenge is to impugned order dated 18.05.2026 (Annexure P-1) passed by respondent No.3, whereby the nomination papers filed by the petitioner so as to contest the election for the post of Municipal Council, Patran, District Patiala Punjab, has been rejected by the respondents. 2. After arguing for sometime, learned counsel for the parties agreed that keeping in view the provisions of the Punjab State Election Commission Act, 1994, in case any nomination form so filed has been rejected on the basis of some typographical error/clerical mistake, the same can be rectified by giving a due chance to the candidate concerned. Hence, the petitioner intends to
