Present petition has been filed seeking issuance of direction to respondent/State to grant regular parole to the petitioner for a period of 10 weeks in view of the reminder application submitted by the petitioner before respondent No.4 dated 17.05.2026 to enable the petitioner to avail the said parole period for performing his familial duties. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner was prosecuted in a case FIR No.146, dated 08.12.2004 under Section 15 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, registered at Police Station Dhand, District Kaithal and after completion of trial, the petitioner was convicted and sentenced for rigorous imprisonment of 10 years vide judgment of conviction and order of sentence dated 08.09.2006 passed by the learned trial Court.
