In the present writ petition, the petitioner is praying for issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondents to finalize the inquiry No.02 dated 15.07.2022 pending with the Vigilance Bureau, Punjab, initiated against the petitioner in the year 2022. 2. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that abovesaid departmental inquiry was initiated in the year 2022 against the petitioner, however, four years have lapsed and till date, no decision has been taken by the respondents in the departmental inquiry. He submits that because of pendency of the abovesaid departmental inquiry against the petitioner, his case was not considered for promotion and employees juniors to the petitioner have been promoted.
