The instant petition has been preferred by the petitioner under Section 483 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for short “BNSS”) for grant of regular bail in case arising out of FIR No.51 dated 20.02.2026 registered under Section 18 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (for short “NDPS Act”) at Police Station Tanda, District Hoshiarpur. 2. As per the allegations on 20.02.2026, a barricade was laid by the Police party for patrolling purposes near Village Harsi. After a while, a person was seen coming on foot from Dasuya side and on seeing the police party, he got perplexed, turned back, started running back and threw a black coloured polythene bag on the side of the road, which he was holding in his right hand. On suspicion, he was apprehended by the police par
