1 IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT CHANDIGARH 103 RSA-2768-1993 (O&M) Date of Decision:-25.05.2026 Birkh alias Birakh Bhan (since deceased) through LRs. ……Appellants Versus Darya Singh (since deceased) through LRs and ors. ..……Respondents CORAM: HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE AMARINDER SINGH GREWAL **** Present: None for the appellants. Mr. Rajinder Goel, Advocate, for the respondents. **** AMARINDER SINGH GREWAL, J. (Oral) 1. A perusal of the case file reveals that learned counsel for the appellants had made a written request for adjournment on 04.05.2026, and on 11.03.2026, he again prayed for adjournment. However, it was made clear to him that the said adjournment would be the last opportunity granted to the parties to address arguments. On the previous date of hearing, i.e. 18.05.2026, learned counsel for the appellants once again sought an adjournment, and the case was adjourned with a direction to file written synopsis on the next date of hearing. However, today, learned counsel for the appellants has again failed to appear, despite the case was taken up thrice; and even the written synopsis has not been filed.
