The petitioners have filed the instant petition under Articles 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 7 of the Punjab Privately Managed Recognized Schools Employees (Security of Service) Act, 1979, seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to revise the salaries/pensions of the petitioners as per the recommendations made in 6th Pay Commission w.e.f. 01.01.2006 and accordingly, the amount of pension to the petitioners be revised and be granted equivalent to salary/pension of the similarly situated employees of State Government. Further, to calculate the arrears of the revised pension due to the petitioners in accordance with the provision of Punjab Privately Managed Recognized Schools Employees (Security of Service) Act, 1979 till the date and pay the same along with interest @ 12% per annum. 2. After arguing the case for sometime, learned
