The petitioner has filed the instant petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking issuance of a writ of certiorari for quashing the part of the orders dated 10.04.2026 (Annexure P-4) of Jails Department, Government of Punjab, regarding reverting the petitioner to the post of Deputy Superintendent Grade-2 from Deputy Superintendent Grade-1. Further, seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to reconsider the case of the petitioner in the lines of earlier decision dated 18.07.2025 (Annexure P- 6). 2. After arguing the case for sometime, learned counsel for the petitioner wishes to withdraw the instant petition with liberty to file a fresh one on the same cause of action with better particulars and by making relevant averments in the petition with regard to the vacancy position. 3.
