1. The present petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of direction to the official respondents to protect life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of private respondents, as they have attained majority and married against the wishes of their family members. 2. Learned counsel states that the petitioners will be satisfied if the Senior Superintendent of Police, Fazilka, i.e. respondent No.2 is directed to look into the representation dated 05.05.2026 (Annexure P-5), made to him by them and take appropriate action on the same. 3. As per the averments made, both the petitioners are major and their dates of birth are 23.03.2007 and 27.07.1999, respectively. The copies of their Aadhar cards are appended as Annexures P-1 and P-2, respectively. They got married on 05.05.2026 and the Marriage Certificate is enclosed with the petition as Annexure P-3.
