The present petition has been filed by the petitioners under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to regularize the services of late Sh. Tara Singh (husband of petitioner No.1 and father of petitioner No.2), retrospectively w.e.f. 10.05.2002, with all consequential benefits. Further, to sanction pension under the Old Pension Scheme in favour of late Sh. Tara Singh and resultantly, to sanction family pension to petitioner No.1 along with arrears thereof and interest that may be liable to be paid on such arrears and permit the petitioners to submit an application at this stage on behalf of petitioner No.2-Gursewak Singh for considering his case for compassionate appointment in terms of the Compassionate Appointment Policy of the State Government dated 21.11.2002 (Annexure
