He states that he is now more than 80 years old. Through the impugned judgment of conviction and sentence, he was convicted under Section 279 and 304-A IPC and was imposed a maximum sentence of RI for one year with a fine of Rs.500/-. Sentences imposed on him were ordered to run concurrently. 2. Upon a query, he states that he does not challenge the impugned judgment of conviction and the judgment upholding the said judgment of conviction but leniency may be shown to him in the matter of imposition of sentence. Fine, as per record, has already been paid by him. In view thereof, the said judgments are confirmed. 3. Learned Deputy Advocate General, Punjab has filed a custody certificate on record.
