In the present writ petition, the petitioner is praying for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus for directing the respondents to count the service rendered by the petitioner on the post of SPO as qualifying service for the purpose of seniority and other consequential benefits 2. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the parties are ad idem that similar issue has been decided by the Co-ordinate Bench of this Court in CWP No.1884 of 2025 titled as Bhagwant Singh and others Vs. State of Punjab and others, decided on 24.01.2025 wherein it has been held that the service rendered on the post of SPO cannot be taken into consideration as a qualifying service for the purpose of seniority and other consequential benefits. 3. It has further been brought to the notice of this Court that LPA No.230
