The present writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been filed for issuance of directions to respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of respondents No.4 to 7. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that for redressal of his grievance, the petitioner has already filed a representation (Annexure P-1) before the Commissioner of Police, Amritsar, however no action has been taken on the same till date. 3. Notice of motion. 4. On the asking of the Court, Mr. Sahil Chowdhary, AAG Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State. 5. Without commenting upon the merits of the case and in view of the submission made by learned counsel for the petitioner, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No. 2-Commissioner of Police, Amritsar to decide the representation
