Brief facts, as per the prosecution case, are that the petitioner Avtar Singh alongwith co-accused armed with datar, swords, spears (Barchhas), javelins and firearms attacked the police party and caused injuries to them wherein PHG Jaspal Singh succumbed to the bullet injuries.
