The present petition has been filed by the petitioners under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to grant them an opportunity to participate in the selection process of selecting the vacant stations falling in their respective districts and allot them new stations on the same terms and conditions from the date of initial joining with all consequential relief before finalizing the transfer/promotion process. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that for redressal of their grievances, the petitioner/s have also served legal notice dated 16.05.2026 (Annexure P-12) to the respondents, which is still pending consideration.
