Prayer in this writ petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondents to release the disability allowance to the petitioner as per the rules and regulations along with interest @ 18% per annum. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner, inter alia, contends that the petitioner joined the respondent/Department as a Cleaner on 04.04.2000.
