The instant petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondents to grant the benefits of pay revision in accordance with the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission, which has been adopted by the State of Punjab, Department of Higher Education with effect from 01.01.2016 vide notification dated 28.09.2022 (Annexure P-10).
