The present petition has been filed by the petitioners under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to upgrade the scale/grade pay of the petitioners from Rs.4200 to Rs.4400 instead of granting 3% increment with effect from the respective due dates of ACP (01.07.2010 to 30.10.2011) as per the 5th Pay Commission report and as per clarification letter dated 01.01.2018 (Annexure P-5) and to refix the pay accordingly. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that for redressal of their grievances, the petitioners have also served a legal notice dated 05.12.2025 (Annexure P-6) upon the respondents which is still pending consideration.
