The petitioners who are permanent residents and tenure holders of Village Amaur, Narwal, Tehsil Narval, District Kanpur Nagar have approached this court inter alia for the following relief: "i. Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents not to carry out the widening work of the link road connecting the AH-1 with Kanpur Defense Node at Village Sarh in Village - Amaur, Narwal, Tehsil - Narval, District - Kanpur Nagar. ii. Any other writ order or direction to which this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case. iii. Award the cost of
