The Union of India has filed this petition challenging a judgment and order dated 23.10.2024 passed by the Armed Forces Tribunal, Regional Bench, Lucknow in Original Application No. 1021 of 2023. 3. Though, provisions of Limitation Act, 1963 do not apply to writ proceedings, nevertheless, a litigant has to invoke the discretionary extraordinary jurisdiction of the High Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India with promptness and diligence without any laches.
