The case of the writ petitioner is that he was appointed on the post of Village Development Officer on 08.01.2008. However, according to the writ petitioner, one Anand Kumar Singh who was resident of the said village, expired in the year 2014 and one Pragya Singh claiming to be the wife of the deceased had preferred an application before the Block Development Officer to enter her name as well as the name of the daughter in the family register.
