The case of the writ petitioners is that they have worked the service period spent by them while undergoing training before they were appointed as constables and should be counted being 19 years of service for grant of one additional increment. They seek to rely upon the judgment in Special Appeal No. 172 of 2023 (State of U.P. and 6 others v. Ram Jeet Tiwari (H. Con.) and 6 others, decided on 19.04.2023. 3. Prayer in the present petition is for a direction to the respondents to consider the grievance of the writ petitioners. 4.
