This petition has been filed by the petitioner purportedly in public interest aggrieved of the excess storage of sand by respondent no. 6. 2. Allegations have been made that though the permitted quantity of storage of sand is sixty thousand cubic metres, two times of the licenced capacity is being stored by the respondent and the location of the storage is also contrary to the licence, wherein the same should be at a distance of minimum 5 KM from the place of mining as the same is at 3.28 KM only. 3. Instructions have been produced by learned Standing Counsel inter alia indicating that against the licenced capacity of sixty thousand cubic metres, a total 29,500 cubic metres sand was found at the site and that the storage is at a distance of more than 5 KM from the mining site. 4.
