Heard Ms. Seema Srivastava, the learned counsel for the petitioner, Smt. Seema Dixit, the learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the State and perused the records. 2. By means of the instant petition filed in public interest the petitioner has sought issuance of a direction to the opposite party no.2 for removal of encroachments made over land bearing Gata No.146, measuring 0.0900 hectare and Gata No.145-Ga measuring 0.1730 hectare, situated in Village Laukapur, Post Devraha, Block Bhetua, Tehsil and District Amethi, which are recorded as khalihan and talab respectively. 3. On the basis of written instructions provided by Tehsildar Amethi, the learned Standing Counsel has informed that proceedings under Section 67 (1) of U.P. Revenue Code have already been initiated by instituting Case Nos.T202604710502024,
