The instant petition is for the following reliefs:- “(i) Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ or order in the nature thereof, directing the respondent no.1 & 2 to take all necessary steps to pass an award of ex-gratia compensation of Rs.1 crore in favour of the Petitioner. In view of Cabinet decision Decision No.2835 dated 13.05.2020 as well as Cabinet Decision No.3065 dated 31.01.2022 (ii) Issue such other writ or pass such other order or direction as may be deemed just and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case.” 2. The petitioner is the son of late Smt. Om Vati, who during the period of the COVID-19 pandemic, with honour and sacrifice served the Country as a Safari Karamchari.
