L. ODEDRA Date : 25/06/2026 ORAL JUDGMENT (PER : HONOURABLE MR.JUSTICE N.S.SANJAY GOWDA) 1. A batch of 47 workmen had approached the Labour Court seeking for regularization. The Labour Court set aside the orders of termination and passed an order of reinstatement of this batch of 47 workmen. 2. After the workmen were reinstated, the Department of Telecommunications came out with a scheme for regularization. 3. The same batch of 47 people approached the Central Administrative Tribunal (“CAT”) invoking their right to be regularized under the said scheme of regularization. The CAT rejected their applications on the ground that they were not entitled to be regularized.
