The present petition has been filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the official respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners from the hands of the private respondents and further not to interfere in the lives of the petitioners and to take action on their representation dated 17.06.2026 (Annexure P-4). 2. At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that the petitioners have recently filed a representation on 17.06.2026 before the Senior Superintendent of Police, Malerkotla (Annexure P-4) raising their grievances as mentioned in the present petition but the same has not yet been considered and no action has been taken thereon. He further submitted that at this stage, the petitioner
