The present Appeal is filed by the Appellant – State of Gujarat under the provisions of Section 378 [1] [3] of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 ( hereinafter be referred to as Cr.P.C. ) challenging the Judgment dated 29.03.2007 passed by the learned Presiding Officer, FTC-2, Rajkot (hereinafter be referred to as the Ld. Trial Court / Ld.Presiding Officer) in Special (A.C.B.) Case No.9 of 2000, whereby the Respondents herein were ordered to be acquitted of the charges for the offences punishable under Sections 7, 12, 13(1) (g) and 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 ( hereinafter be referred to as “Act”). 2.
