The present civil writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of a writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus and for appointment of a Warrant Officer, with a roving writ to search for the deteneu namely Jaswinder Kaur and get the deteneu released from illegal custody of the respondents forthwith. 2. At the outset, learned State counsel has filed the status report dated 22.06.2026 in the Court today, which is taken on record. He submits that the present petition is totally misconceived as the daughter of the petitioner is major and she has performed her marriage with respondent No.4 and also sought protection from the learned Sessions Judge, Patiala. 2.
