The present Civil Writ Petition has been filed under Articles 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of an appropriate writ, order, or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent- Education Department to consider the claim of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Social Studies Master/TGT w.e.f. the date his juniors were promoted vide order dated 12.12.2010 (Annexure P-3). A further direction is sought to the respondents to fix the seniority of the petitioner from the year 2010 in accordance with the Haryana State Education School Cadre (Group-C) Service Rules, 1998 and the Haryana School Education .
