The present writ petition has been filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of an appropriate writ or order in the nature of certiorari for quashing the impugned order dated 16.02.2024 (Annexure P-4) whereby the respondents have sought to grant the benefit of Selection Grade to petitioner w.e.f. 01.08.2000 instead of 01.01.1996. Further praying for quashing the consequential order dated 25.06.2024 (Annexure P-5) whereby respondents illegally refixed and reduced the petitioner’s last drawn substantive basic pay after retirement.
