The petitioner also seeks quashing of the relevant provisions of the Compassionate Appointment Scheme, if any, to the extent they deny compassionate appointment to the wards of Special Police Officers (SPOs) whose cases for enlistment as Constables had already been processed, including the petitioner's deceased husband, who died in harness while serving as an SPO before formal enlistment as a Constable.
