This Criminal Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondents No. 2 and 3 not to harass the petitioners at the instance of respondents No. 4 and 5 s the petitioners having married against the wishes of private respondents with further prayer to direct respondents No. 2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner and the family members of petitioner No.2. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that both the petitioners being major, got married against the wishes of private respondents. Ever since then, the petitioners are being threatened with dire consequences by the private respondents. Resultantly, a representation dated 14.07.2026 (Annexure P-5) was also made to respondent No.2- Commissioner of Police, District Amritsar, Punjab
