Instant petition has been filed under Section 528 of BNSS, seeking quashing of FIR No. 217 dated 05.12.2021 registered under Sections 379-B(2), 34 IPC at Police Station Majitha Road, District Police Commissionerate Amritsar on the basis of compromise dated 01.04.2023 and all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom including order framing charge dated 21.11.2022. 2. The offence, which is sought to be quashed is under Section 379-B(2) IPC and petition before this Court is pending since 18.05.2023, when the proceedings were adjourned on request of counsel for the petitioners. None appeared on 29.05.2023, and notice was issued to respondent No. 2 on 21.08.2023.
