The petitioner is seeking regular bail under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) (Section 439 Cr.P.C.) in FIR No.40 dated 03.03.2026 registered under Sections 22-29-61-85 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act at Police Station Mehtiana, Hoshiarpur, Punjab. 2. The case of the prosecution is that on 03.03.2026, while on patrolling duty, the police apprehended the petitioner with 70 intoxicating tablets. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in the present case. However, he submits that as the FSL report is pending in the instant case, the petitioner be granted interim bail till the presentation of challan along with the FSL report. 4. Notice of motion.
