Learned Senior counsel restricts his prayer only to stoppage of 6 increments in terms of order dated 29.09.2016, Annexure P-9. He submits that the punishment of stoppage of 6 annual increments was awarded in the departmental proceedings while on similar set of facts, he stands acquitted in the criminal case registered against him vide judgment dated 16.03.2018, Annexure P-10. In this regard he relies on Rule 16.3 of Punjab Police Rules as also the judgment of this Court in Baldev Singh and Another vs. State of Haryana and Others, CWP-1258-2020, decided on 26.08.2025 and prays that the case of the petitioner may be reconsidered in terms thereof, in a time bound manner. 2.
