The present petition has been filed under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (erstwhile Section 439 Cr.P.C.) seeking regular bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.249 dated 12.12.2023, registered under Sections 15, 25/61/85 of the NDPS Act, Sections 25/54/59 of the Arms Act and Section 341(2) IPC (now Section 126(2) of BNS, 2023), (Section 29 of the NDPS Act added subsequently), at Police Station Sidhwan Bet, District Ludhiana. 2. The case of the prosecution is that, acting on a secret information, a naka was laid and a Bharat Benz container truck bearing registration No. HR- 55-AA-5625 was intercepted.
