The present civil writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing the impugned orders dated 24.01.2018; 02.05.2018 & 03.10.2018 (Annexures P-9, P-11 & P-12, respectively). Further, for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to grant the benefit of stepping up of pay to the petitioner at par with his junior counterpart from the date of promotion as Master with all consequential benefits and arrears of pay and pension along with interest @ 18% per annum from the date due till payment as the case of the petitioner is squarely covered by the statutory rules. 2.
