The prayer in the present Criminal Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is for the issuance of a writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus or any other writ, order or direction directing the respondent Nos.4 to 7 to handover custody of Yuvrajpreet Singh (son of the petitioner) to the petitioner in the interest of the well-being of the child. 2. The learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner entered into a love marriage with Jagjit Singh, son of late Balwinder Singh and Sukhwinder Kaur (respondent No.4) in August, 2021. A petition was filed before the District and Sessions Judge, Amritsar seeking protection of their life and liberty from their respective parents.
