(Oral) Apprehending threat to their life and liberty, petitioners have filed the present petition with a prayer to direct the official respondents to protect their life and liberty from respondents No.4 to 6. The facts, as can be inferred from the petition, are as follows: The petitioners, who are major, solemnized marriage in accordance with Hindu rites and customs on 11.06.2026. Date of birth of petitioner No.1 is stated to be 30.03.2005 and that of petitioner No.2 is 01.09.2004 as per their Aadhaar Cards. It is stated that relationship of the petitioners was not approved by parents of petitioner No.1. Respondents No.4 to 6 were extending threats to eliminate the petitioners and in this regard petitioners moved representation to respondent No.2- SSP Pathankot seeking protection of their life and liberty but no action was taken.
