This petition is the first petition for bail, filed by the petitioner under Section 483 of ‘the Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita’, 2023. It has been filed with regard to a case arising out of FIR No.52 dated 24.05.2017, for the commission of offence punishable under Sections 406, 420 of Indian Penal Code and Section 25 of Immigration Act, Police Station Phase-XI, SAS Nagar (Mohali). 2. The abovementioned FIR has come into being at the instance of ‘Sukhpreet Singh’, hereinafter being referred to as ‘complainant’ only.
