Heard learned counsel for the petitioners, learned counsel for the gaon sabha and learned Standing Counsel for the State respondents. 2. Instant petition has been filed seeking expeditious disposal of the proceedings pending before the Consolidation Officer under Section 9-A(2) of U.P. Consolidation of Holdings Act, 1953 (in brevity 'UPCH Act'). 3. It is submitted that the Deputy Director of Consolidation, vide order dated 31.07.2025 (Annexure no.3), has remitted the matter before the Consolidation Officer to decide the proceedings under Section 9-A(2) of the UPCH Act, 1953 afresh after giving opportunity of hearing to the parties concerned. However, till date, no fruitful steps have been taken to initiate the proceedings and decide the same expeditiously. 4.
