Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Standing Counsel and perused the record. 2. The petitioner has invoked the extraordinary jurisdiction of this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, inter alia, with the following prayer:- "A. Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding directing Respondent No. 2 to decide Case No. 249 (Mehrunisha Vs Rahmatulnisha) under section 9A(2) of U.P.C.H. Act, pending before respondent No. 2 within stipulated period." 3. It is submitted that the present petitioner is the opposite party in the proceeding under Section 9A(2) of UPCH Act which is pending since 1992. Both the parties have already appeared in the aforesaid proceeding and the case is ready for final adjudication. 4.
