HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT ALLAHABAD WRIT - A No. - 940 of 2026 Laxman Singh .....Petitioner(s) Versus State of U.P. and Another .....Respondent(s) Counsel for Petitioner(s) : Kapil Kumar, Sandhya Singh Counsel for Respondent(s) : C.S.C. Court No. - 33 HON'BLE VIKAS BUDHWAR, J. 1. Heard Shri Manish Singh, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Rahul Malviya, learned Standing Counsel, who appears for State-respondents. 2. Prayer in the present petition is for quashing of an order dated 31.12.2025 passed by Superintendent of Police, Firozabad imposing the punishment of placing the writ petitioner in the lower pay-scale. Admittedly against the said punishment order, appeal and revision lies under the provisions contained under U.P. Police Officers of the Subordinate Ranks (Punishment and Appeal) Rules, 1991. 3. Learned Standing Counsel could not dispute the same. 4. The Court is of the opinion that it is open for the writ petitioner to question the same in the appeal and revision. 5. Accordingly, no good ground is made out, the writ petition stands dismissed. January 28, 2026 Ashu (Vikas Budhwar,J.)
