The case of the writ petitioner is that he was appointed as Lekhpal in the year 1997, promoted as Assistant Registrar, Kanoongo in the year 2013-14. In the seniority list, his number is 625. In the meantime, Case Crime no.8 of 2024 under Section 7 of Prevention of Corruption Act was lodged against him. The writ petitioner was languishing in jail and he was accorded reinstatement post grant of bail. According to the writ petitioner, juniors to him have already been promoted to the post of Naib Tehsildar. 3.
