Sri Javed Alam, learned counsel for the writ petitioner submits that though the present petition has been preferred against the punishment order dated 23.07.2025, however, he seeks withdrawal of the writ petitioner while preferring appeal under Rule 20 of the Uttar Pradesh Police Officers of Subordinate Rank (Punishment and Appeal) Rules 1991. His anxiety is that appeal be decided within short time. 2. In the opinion of the Court once the writ petitioner prefers an appeal, then the Court has no reason to disbelieve that the same shall be decided with most expedition. 3. In case, there is a delay, it is always open for the applicant to seek condonation of the delay, which would be considered strictly in accordance with law. 4.
