The present petition seeks quashing of FIR No. 298/2014 dated 07.03.2014, registered at Police Station Narela for commission of offences under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC, along with all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom, on the basis of compromise arrived at between the parties. 2. Marriage between petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 (Complainant) was solemnized on 23.04.2000 as per Hindu rites and ceremonies. After a long spell of togetherness, eventually, the complainant lodged a complaint against her husband and in-laws, which resulted in registration of the abovesaid FIR in the year 2014. 3. The charge-sheet has already been filed and when the abovesaid criminal case was taken up by learned Magisterial Court, the matter was referred to mediation and, fortunately, the parties have arrived at amicable settlement. 4.
