The PIL was filed in the year 2023 for cancellation of the fair price shop licence granted to opposite party no. 7 on the ground that the same has been granted to him during subsistence of tenure of her mother as Gram Pradhan of the Gram Panchayat concerned, which is impermissible under the relevant Government Order. However, the counsel for the State says that a counter affidavit has been filed annexing Government Orders, which contain an exception to the aforesaid clause i.e. the son has to be totally dependent upon the Gram Prdhan,which is not the case. 2.
