By means of this PIL the petitioner seeks enactment of a new Police Act in place of existing Police Act, 1861, which is a Central Legislation, though amenable to State amendments subject being in the concurrent Act. 3. It is not for the Courts to issue any such direction but for the legislature to consider the same or for that matter to the State Government to initiate any such process. The petitioner, if there is a cause, may approach the concerned Government or Members of the legislature, as the case may be, making out a case for enactment, as aforesaid, which can be considered by them as per law. 4.
