This is a petition filed under Section 11(6) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, [“the Act”] seeks appointment of an arbitrator in terms of the arbitration clause, being clause 18 under a Contract No. 2022/RS(I)/954/151/1884, dated 10.02.2022, for manufacture and supply of wagons. Clause 18 of the Contract reads as under: “18.0 Settlement of Disputes (Arbitration): The contract will be governed by the arbitration clause with amendments as specified in the Railway Board’s letter No. 2018/TF/Civil/Arbitration Policy dated 12.12.2018” 2.
